Inclusion of employees retired during the current policy expiring on 30th September, 2018 under retirees’ policy.
The employees who have retired on or after 1st October 17 and those who are retiring up to 30th September 18 and spouse of deceased employees are covered under the existing Medical Insurance Policy for bank (serving) employees & their dependent family members till 30.09.2018 only. The retirees medical policy is effected from November to October. There is a gap of one month that is October. Hence, the above retirees/ spouse of deceased retirees needs to cover themselves for one month under Retiree Medical Insurance Policy i.e.01/10/2018 to 31/10/2018.
The renewal of the Retiree Medical Insurance Policy will be w.e.f. from 01.11.2018. So initially for joining the Retiree Medical Insurance Policy, they have to pay one month proportionate premium for the period 01.10.2018 to 31.10.2018. For this the said groups of retired/ to be retired employees/ spouse of deceased employees have to fill the option form Annexure 1 & 2 respectively and forward/ submit to his/ her respective Zonal Offices/ Department/ Branch before 12.09.2018.
Please ensure that the eligible retirees / spouse of deceased employees maintain sufficient balance in their pension/saving account (account mentioned in the option cum consent form) for debiting the premium amount as under:
Option I (Without Domiciliary /OPD)
