Re : Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) – Reopening of the scheme of NABARD
National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) vide their letter No. NB.DoR/GSS/3621/DEDS-1/2013-14 dated 6th November, 2013 has informed that Government of India has decided to re-open the window for acceptance of fresh applications under the Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) until State wise targets for the financial year is achieved.
Further, NABARD advised Banks for forwarding the application sanctioned by the Banks under the captioned scheme to concerned Regional Offices. On receipt of the claims, subsidy will be released by NABARD Regional office in accordance with guidelines of the scheme, within the state wise targets on first come first serve basis subject to availability of funds from GoI.
NABARD advised that preference may be given to women beneficiaries for creating assets under the DEDS scheme to encourage and increase participation of women in dairy sector.
Interested entrepreneurs may contact nearest branch of the bank to get benefit under the DEDS Scheme. Please note that NABARD has clarified that subsidy will be available on first come first serve basis subject to availability of funds from GoI.
